Files in trash

  1. This may be a bit trickier. It is in my trash directory and .trash
    and it has a file name as follows:
    channel_national;src-infocus;type.....
    Please educate me, there are only a few kilobytes, I can ignore them, but just annoying to see these things whenever I open this drive

    What you see as a jpg image title is actually a short section of a completely separate HTML document, which is intended to display that image in a browser. The actual image should have the title hurricane-sandy-after-landfall.jpg

    I cannot even speculate on how that piece of HTML code became saved as an image filename. I would just delete them, then run CHKDSK to eliminate any faults in your disk index. As to them being in your trash directory, don't you clean that out routinely every so often?
