I have downloaded alot of stuff lattely movies, games etc, which were big file sizes i haven't installed all of them i have burn't to disk for latter. My problem is after deleting these files my harddrive says i have 29gig of stuff installed on it. But there is no way this is correct i would only have under 20 gig installed on pc,

I have done defrag, scandisk, removed all junk files from my pc as well but still says 29 gig on harddrive.

I have hp724a pc, windows xp home and i also have norton systemworks 2003 installed.

Does anyone know what the problem is and how i can fix it?

Thanks alot for any help

do you have Nortons protected recycle bin running? if you do try going into nortons protected and telling it to delete the files it has saved.

Yes i do have Nortons protected recycle bin running but it seems to only give me one option and that is to Empty Protected files.
And it says i have 1500 protected files on C/Drive.

I'am not sure how to delete the files it has saved?
I thought the protected files maybe needed system files?

No, you have to right click on the recycle bin and click on Empty Norton protected Files. And you need to click on Purge All.After that, you will get the free space.
