As citizens of densely populated areas will tell you, traffic is an on ongoing nuisance. For first responders and those seeking emergency assistance, traffic deadlocks can potentially be deadly.

Firefighters in Dubai, a city that’s expanding at an alarming rate, have taken a novel approach to reaching distressed citizens that just so happen to be near a body of water.

As the above clip from Dubai's Civil Defense illustrates, firefighters are using jet skis to get to those in need near the waterfront. Once on the scene, the firefighter dons a water-powered jetpack (much like the popular Flyboard) that gives them the height needed to tackle the blaze. Best yet, the fire hose pumps water directly from the body of water they’re on, effectively giving them an infinite water supply.

Full points for being cool, but I don't see much difference between that and a small boat with a water cannon on it. No need to worry about your firefighter losing their balance and falling in the water and getting dragged down by their soaking wet clothing.

Wow that another approach!

I really love that the firefighter also drive corvettes!

Looks like it can be a lot of fun, where do I sign up? Sadly my, err, advancing years would automatically rule me out as being a successful applicant.
