Since Firefox updated to version 1.5.0.8 it crashes about 15 times per day. I just randomly get a standard WinXP "...needs to close..." box and then the firefox feedback agent launches.
I am so used to FF I don't want to revert to IE but cannot continue like this.

Are any other users experiencing similar? I can find no mention elsewhere of stability issues with the latest build and so I wonder if it's my installation. Just thought I'd sound some of you guys out.

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

This is a well known problem caused by a memory leak in the programme.

I personally never had a problem with Firefox 1.5.0.8 crashing, but I know it was a problem for many users.

Unfortunately, I`m running Firefox2.0 and while they have fixed some problems I was having with previous versions, such as copy and paste, this version crashes from time to time with a buffer overrun problem. I believe from what I have read, this is also caused by a memory leak. Checkout the Mozilla forums HERE.

I, like you am very used to Firefox, but must admit, I`m getting very disillusioned with Firefox.

Unfortunately, I can`t find another browser I like and I definitely won`t use IE.
