Firewire question?

    I have a friend that has a laptop without firewire inputs just usb 2. His video camera has firewire outputs. How will he connect this to his laptop? Can he get an external hard drive that has usb and firewire and kind of daisy chain it? Hook the ex.hd to the laptop and the exhd to the camera? Anyone ever run into this problem?

    You can get a PCMCIA firewire adapter or a USB to firewire adapter.

    There isn't any USB to fireware cable. Maybe there is some card that you can plug into your laptop.
