First PDA with VGA resolution system LCD

    Sharp introduced today at the Comdex show, the world's first PDA to come equipped with a 3.7-inch LCD screen capable of outputting VGA resolutions; the product which also comes with a QWERTY keyboardy, is expected to be sold in Japan for $500 by the end of the year...

    The SL-C700, which uses a Linux OS, is equipped with an Intel XScale processor, 64MB flash memory, 32MB SDRAM and Secure Digital (SD) and CompactFlash (CF) card slots. Measuring 120×83×18.6mm and weighing 225 grams, the PDA can be folded with its screen facing both inside and outside.

    And talking of PDAs, Dell has already announced ante pricecuts for their upcoming budget priced Pocket PCs, now down to $175 after rebates for the lower end model.
