First time build clock ratio question

This is my first attempt at putting something like this togather and then getting it to run will be another first.

This questions may seem silly but to some poor ***** who would rather be fishing, it really is important...

1. What is the "clock ratio" how do I figure what I want it set at or just ignore and accept the default (auto). Options are 100mhz + multiplier or "Auto". Anything over 18x it says to use auto. This is a GA7N400-L mobo and AMD 2700+ cpu

"Auto" says it supports 400/333/266 fsb cpu's. What does "support" mean? It sound like it will work but maybe not as effeciently as it could? Wrong mobo?

Is there place that describes clock ratio? Like "clock ratio for dummies"?

So far this is the most confusing I have come too, surely more will follow.

Have it set at auto....This will automatically detect your fsb "clock ratio" if you want to be more specific the fsb on you CPU is 333mhz....but setting it at auto shough do the trick
