Hi whillow5. Are you trying to put together a gaming system?

I personally feel that you could opt for a more powerful GPU while compromising on the CPU + Mobo.

It would be nice if you could tell us your budget.

Anyway, I think that it would be smarter to go with an i5 750 and a Gigabyte UD3 instead.
That way you can fit a 5870 and a corsair 650w.
