Flash Drive Shrinked Space

By doomsweek
Dec 7, 2007
  1. OK, so I have a 256MB flash drive. I've been using it for over a year already. Suddenly, I noticed that I cant use the drive's full capacity. After trying to write to more than 50+MB of files, that flash drive automatically goes to write protect mode. I have to replugin the drive and format it so that I can use it again, BUT I still cant write past 50+MB. It seems that its capacity decreased from 256MB to 50MB.

Anyone knows how I can fix this? Thanks

Sounds to me like the memory chip in it is faulty
