I just format my C drive and reinstall window XP for my Dell 8400. Everytime I try turn on my PC, it is said FLOPPY DISKETTE SEEK FAILURE! ( Press F1 to continune, or F2 for set up. My PC doesn't have Floppy Disk. Please advice!
Seen this on many, many Dell computers when hardware change or OS upgrade. Do the following: Make sure your BIOS is up to date. Then turn pc on, press F2 to enter BIOS screen. Make sure anything that says 'floppy drive" or "floppy drive controller" is set to disable or off. Reboot. This has worked many times for me.
