Floppy drive not working

i just had a new motherboard installed and now when i try to use my floppy disk it says please insert a disk into drive A. any thoughts?

make sure you pluged in all the wires, power and data, and also make sure that you have 3 1\2 flopy enabled in bios

make sure the floppy cable is connected correctly, it is very easy to hook it up the wrong way.

If you can see the small writing on the MB, the red line on the cable ALWAYS
goes to the #1 spot on the motherboard connector plug. That way you know it's in the right way.

Check that the floppy disk is good. They like to fail A LOT.

I have destroyed 3 floppies in 2 days!
