Floppy memory cache won't clear

I have a computer that won't clear the memory cache from one disk to the next. After boot up, it will read a floppy and display the data, however, if you remove the disk and put in another one, it will display the data from the first disk. The only way to correct the problem and read another disk is to reboot the computer. Every once in a while, that will not work either. Has anyone ever experienced this problem and know of a possible fix? Thanks much.

What happens if you click "Refresh" from the view menu,

in My Computer and in the A drive window ?

Absolutely nothing. Acts like it wants to refresh, but still displays the same data from the first disk.
