So the red is UV tubing? What is this tomfoolery that you wish you display.

uh huh, hiding from me again ey? :)

It;s actually orange (supposed to be red) I just started 'Holodeck XI' A completely different palette.
the tom foolery started a couple days ago getting the rads primed.

White is the dom color, blue is comp, charcoal gray is highlight. making custom backplates etc..
It is getting a side window that is so cool , I can't talk about it cuz I might get a patent on the thing :)
...or get promptly turned down...I'm not sure.
Much better colors I think.
 
Hey Red, will you be tri-braiding or french braiding these colors around tubing? I had my g/f do it to my tubing to see how it looked. I tried it with shoe strings. Blue, Black and White. It looked pretty cool. The UV tubing actually gave off a glow through the shoe strings. It was just an experiment but you totally got me back on track with the whole thing from last year.

Oh and can you pls edit what the items are in between each photo. When I make my "over the top WC'ing guide in january I'd like to include pictures and descriptions from this post.

You are making me drool looking at that magnificent beast. The case has so much room with that whole system and those beautiful 7970 quadfire setup. It's so gorgeous!!!

Btw 2 questions

1: how is that gigabyte board that supports quadfire, I saw it but decided against it at the last second when I went for 6990's over 4 separate cards.

2: I sent this earlier in a message, I really wanna know your settings to get those overclocks on your fx chip! 5.3ghz is fantastic!
 
You can't get his attention by acknowledging what he does. You need to acknowledge what he can't do. Same for me. If you tell me that I can't get my 980x to 5Ghz I'll go down to the Detroit Science Center, Get some Liq Nit. and just do it, even if it is only for 20 secs and I have to spend 4 hours cleaning off my board afterwards.

Also that was supposed to be a way to get your BIOS details for the OC to GhostRyder. :D
 
Yeah, he sent me a PM after I asked, im shocked to be honest because my vcore at 4.7 is only at 1.45 which is lower then some people get 4.7 and anything beyond it is just getting hard and tedious. Mostly because while I like windows 8, its very cranky if your system is not totally stable (Especially if you freeze it). I may with a spare SSD I have laying around make a windows 7 setup on it just to work on overclocking.

The sad part about the 4.7ghz was that was my second try after 4.5 that I got stable easily and just started dropping the vcore and testing till I got the lowest stable. It was overly easy, and now I just cant go further, Im just missing that sweet spot!
 
Thats the voltage I run at 5.0GHz. (1.47v) It really has more to do with the bin mine came from. I have three 8350's and they are stable beyond 5.0GHz and come from 1229pgn.

I will label everything and add some things. I am actually doing a build log per many requests. I will get all this up here soon guys :)

How did you get three from such a good batch like that? I need to start really following these batch codes and learn how to pick up on good batch numbers. Ill figure out what batch mine came from so I can see where mine lands in the mix, but at 1.472 on the vcore, that seems like what mine should be to hit 5.0ghz but im having issues, I need to do some more testing! Thanks for posting that Red1776!
 
For those who don't know, red's systems are always bananas. As far back as I can remember it's always Quad-Fire.
