Foxconn Motherboard/GSkill Memory problem

Hi!

I just built a PC with following configuration:

- AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+
- Foxconn A690GM2MA-8KRS2H Socket AM2 Motherboard
- G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
- Windows Vista Premium Home Edition

When I start the system it hangs after showing the Foxconn logo. When I tried various things it appears that there is a compatibility issue with the Motherboard and Memory.

I removed one of the 2 memory stick and the computer started working fine. But now I am left with 1 GB memory only. I want to find out if anyone knows the solution to this. I want to keep both the motherboard and Memory if possible.

If the issue can be resolved by changing the Voltage or Memory timing, please let me know how to do that. I have never done that before.

thanks
Milind
