Fps + Graphics Worries?

    Hi... i have an INSPIRON 9100 Laptop with ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 128mbit graphics... i have been running Games like counterstrike for about a year now with an average of 150-200 fps... but recently its dropped down to 30-50 average.. and i have no idea why.. i reinstalled windows but it doesnt help.. any ideas on how to help? i am a uni student and need my games to help escape from the hard life of gettin drunk all the time.. thanks

    If you know what you are doing, I recommend opening up the PC and blowing out the heatsinks with some canned air.

    The dust may be blocking the fans from getting air to the heatsink, thus drastically reducing FPS.

    Also, make sure your videocard didnt enable V-sync on accident. This may also reduce fps to the vertical refresh rate of your monitor which may be 50.

    well shaking my lappy around isnt working.. and threatening it with screwdrivers isnt either.. im fu.. buggerd.

    It doesn't matter if he has a laptop, theres still small heatsinks covering the CPU.
