Hi,

I have recently purchased The Sims 2 ( the regular CD edition ) And for it i have replaced my integrated GPU, the SiS 750, with A budget card, NVidia GeForce MX 4000 128mb ( i think its apart of the geforce 4 family ) well any way the GeForce lets the game run fine except when i move the camera. My fps drops to around the unplayable level. in the game you move the camera alot. and i mean alot. but when you are not moving it the fps is fine. I was wondering if you guys know of this issue or if theres any good way how to increase my fps.

Any help is greatly appericiated, Thank You
AEngland

My System specs:
HP Pentium IV 1.6 ghz
256mb DDR SDRAM
NVidia GeForce MX 4000 128mb

Welcome to TechSpot Forums

How have you set graphics options in the game?

You could also try adjusting Direct3D settings to "Best performance" in display settings (the settings are buried there somewhere in Detonator drivers).

ive set all of my graphics settings to low but it still looks good. ill try to the direct 3d settings. where would it be located? ( more specific )
