Well, fdisk is a bit dated. The XP partition manager from the install CD works just fine. You can run it manually from recovery console using the command diskpart, if that sort of thing is fun to you....

There's also gParted.
 
Why dont you just go to Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Managerment>Disk Management. You should be able to partition stuff there.
 
Can anyone tell me what error 57 is. I am using one that I finally remembered was a good one call bootig NG that I used before. Anyway it says when I go to resize error 57 found on file systems. Use scandisk or chkdsk/f . Anyone care to comment???
 
Well, I cant seem to find anything on resize error 57, why dont you go to the disk management tool and set up your partions in windows? I think it would be easier, and if any errors come up, they would be easier to solve then that bootig NG program, seeing as i cant find any information on the error code.
