Deezer has been a long-time player in the streaming music market with present in 180 countries around the world, but there’s one notably missing from the list: USA. Today the French company has announced it’s entering the crowded US market for $10 a month through Apple, Android and Windows devices, as well as its own website.

Like Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music and others, Deezer provides an all-you-can-eat on-demand catalog of millions of songs. The company claims it has over 40 million songs and 40,000 podcasts available, which would put it ahead of its rivals at least in that regard.

There’s one important caveat, however. While Deezer offers both free and paid tiers in other countries like the UK and France, it is sticking to a paid tier only in the U.S. That said the company will offer a 30 day trial of its premium service to new users.

Deezer currently has about 6 million subscribers worldwide. By comparison, Spotify costs more than 30 million paying subscribers world-wide and 70 million free users, Apple Music has at least 15 million paying subscribers, and Tidal has 4.2 million subscribers.

The service actually made a quiet entry to the U.S. a couple of years ago but limiting itself to a few select devices. Specifically, Sonos and Bose speakers, and later on it was made available to customers of AT&T's Cricket Wireless mobile provider.
