frequencey out of range

I need help despartly, I changed the refresh rate to 100 and my monitor said frequency out of range, and I cant get it back. The screen is blocked by this so I cant see to change the refresh rate back. Please help. I am freeked

safe mode

go into safe mode by hitting f8..not sure if vga mode works the same
what will happen is the computer should load up at @ 800X 600 resolution and lower the refresh rate
fomr there you should be able to change it bck to normal and then restart
if that doenst work, reinstall the video drivers
