Hi,

i have running a win 2003 server behind a modem-router.
I have 2 servers running :
-ftp-server on port 21
-web-server on port 80

I forward following ports on my modem-router:
-wan-port 21 forward to 192.168.1.254:21
-wan-port 80 forward to 192.168.1.254:80

I can access my ftp-server on another place (not in LAN), the
port-forwaring works fine.
I can access my web-server in LAN (http://192.168.1.254:80)
But I cannot access my web-server on another place (not in LAN).

I have changed port 80 into 81 on the webserver and in the
modem-router but it doesn't work either.

Any ideas?

"cannot access" means what? Maybe you have configured the web server software so that it only accepts connections from the LAN?

It could also be that your ISP is blocking web serving.. Ask them about it.

move the webserver to a port greater than 1024, eg 10080

be sure you can access it directly on your LAN address to prove the
server is config'd properly and then access it via your
http://$public-IP:10080/

Many/most ISPs will disable port 80 access to a private/personal account,
as they want you to buy their hosting service or at least a static IP address.
