I removed the hard drive from my sister's pc and hooked it up to an external housing to recover some data for her, because her pc wouldn't enter safe mode so I could reset the passwords her x husband had set. When, I got all the data I needed off the hard drive, I reinstalled it, but now i get nothing but a fuzzy non responsive Compaq screen. I had figured I would just pull the hard drive copy the desired files reinstall the hard drive and re image the os but none of that seems to be working, I don't even think the pc is recognizing the hard drive is there at all. Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you positive you didn't delete any necessary Windows files?
You didn't boot or try to boot to that HDD did you? By rights; If you took the HDD out, USB'd it to another PC, extracted data and put it back into its original place it should be ok. If you tried to boot to it, you may have corrupted the master boot record on the disk and a windows repair would be in order.

I actually didn't delete any files at all, just copied the ones I wanted. It acts like it doesn't see the hard drive at all.
