Game lockup in the middle of game

    Hey, I been having problems with just about all games I play. I can sometimes play like an hour or two of games like warcraft 3 and Theif 3 before they lock up. Wolfenstein Enemy Territory i can get like 5 minutes into the game then it freezes. For all these games the screen just locks up and the sound just goes into a loop. Here are my specs:

    Athlon 64 3200+ processor
    1 Gig of Corsair DDRAM
    Gigabyte Motherboard
    Nvidia Geforce 6600 GT video card

    I've tried other forums but they couldnt help me, I hope you guys can.

    This sounds driver related, and I would first try a different motherboard driver, if it's an nforce system.
    Too, what are the specs on your psu? And the mobo?
