Game of Thrones is 2013's most pirated TV show, again

Agreed, and if anything, with such rampant Piracy surrounding the show, it goes to show that people think it is a very good show, considering Breaking Bad has twice as many viewers and still less pirated, reason being? You can get Breaking Bad from pretty much anywhere for a decent price.
That's an amazing statistic isn't it? Provide content in some convenient fashion and people buy it rather than pirate it...

What about that "grey" area? You know, when the legal version you've paid for doesn't play back on a certain device because of DRM or is low quality or a massive file or in a format (such as DVD) that you don't want to / can't use? I can't remember the game, This was 3-4 years ago now, I purchased a game (for the life of me I can't remember what it was) and the DRM on it made it pretty much useless, I downloaded a "Pirated copy" and used that instead. Was I in the wrong? As far as I'm concerned, I wasn't, I had paid my dues but the product provided had an anti-theft system that stopped me from using said item.
Yes the model is wrong if the pirate has an easier time to view the content than someone who pays for it.

We are clearly seeing that content provided to consumers in a convenient manner and by providers who aren't blatantly gouging has massive uptake and piracy drops as a result. It's just common sense.

Bad acting with unrealistic script, covered over by frequent nudity and gruesome hack and slash. Ohh yeah, I can see exactly what is driving high ratings here. It has nothing to do with, what you want your kids watching.

Funny how you can record it to your DVR/PVR etc without issue and keep it as long as you like, but if you download it they consider it piracy.. Pretty stupid..

Somehow, this only makes me want to watch it more.

It sounds like Saturday morning cartoons, crossed with "Baywatch", but in chainmail.

Does the naked girl who lays dragon eggs run in slow motion?

I'm with Clifford on this. The acting is outstandingly bad, with a few eye candy scenes thrown in and a gruesome hack and slash every once in a while. Watched 3 or 4 episodes, it didn't get any better , but then I never saw the girl laying dragon eggs.

No I didn't pirate it, Dish network, twice a year, has some HBO programs for free preview. That saved me a bundle by being able to decide if signing up for a premium service is worth it. So far, I haven't found any. I am retired and have a small circle of friends that is not interested in the latest episodes of pay TV soap operas. We're much more concerned with the state of our government and our foreign policy.

Maybe she just babysits the dragon eggs. I heard about it on "The Craig Ferguson Show". (Not really noted for its accuracy, nor am I well noted for a perfect memory).

Anyhow, bad acting, and the unlikely pairing of Claudia Black and Ben Browder didn't stop, "Farscape" from having an avid cult following.

OK face it, Claudia Black has a face that could stop a clock, or possibly a mugging in progress. Ben Browder's baby face looked like he might be a handsome gentleman, once he entered his junior year of high school. Yet, "true love" between them prevailed.

I have two unwatched seasons of "Game of Thrones". I should watch them, but I simply don't want to take the time away from this thread, as I"m having too much fun with it.

As a footnote, if you go back and watch almost any series you've followed in the past, the acting seems a whole lot worse, the second time around.

Farscape is still on Hulu Plus and you're right, the acting seems to be more infantile than I remember.

Ben probably took acting lessons after the show went off the air.

I would have done Claudia with a bag over her head. The rest of her was pretty good including her set of floatation devices.
