Gamecube Troubles

    Okay, i have this gamecube (Gen. 1) and it will play a game for a little bit and then it will give me a disc not read message. do i need to fix the fan? or the laser? or is there a recall or way to exchange it? (Its out of warannty) Any help would be appreciated. Thx

    I had a similar problem with my PS2. I had to take it apart and clean the lazer lense with rubbing alcohol. Put it all back together and worked great. The problem with the cube is it has those goofy screws with the triangle tip. I would imagine using the same trick would work for the cube though.

    This is also a good idea. If you have the extra $100 I would also go for this option. Or if you wait they might do another price drop when Wii is released.
