Ok, so i saved up and bought this thing peice by peice then put it all togeather and i must say that it is a sexy beast, when it wants to run that is.
I made this monster with games in mind and now it randomly shuts down in the middle of them.
Here's my spec's.

AMD 64 duel core 4400
seagate 500 gb HD
WD 74GB 10,000 rpm HD
2gb cosair xps
700 watt psu
2 xfx 7800gt (SLI)
Asus a8n-SLI MOBO
1 dvd+rw
5 case fans and an oversized heatsink
temp running is 31-35

it ran wonderfully for about 2 months then started to shut down in the middle of the games. Now it shuts down when I try to install them.
I thought it was my hard drive, so i got a diffrent one and installed that. same thing. I reset the automatic shut down and i get this for an error message.
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
windows is updated.
drivers are as well.
and i am lost on what to do next.
It surfs the net fine, but as soon as you do anything more intence than that it gives that message.
Help please.

Are u sure ur case temps are not too high. Overheating might be a problem. Also, what brand is the PSU, coz if it is a crap one, it might be failing.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Go HERE and follow the instructions.

If that doesn`t help, attach 5 or 6 of your latest minidumps here.
