games crashing

Everytime i play a game like madden 2007 or cod2 my computer lock up!!!!!.
What can i be the drivers or videocard? the card is a geforce 6600 pci express.
i need help!!!!!!!!!

its probably overheating..if it locks up...did you update your drivers..also hows the cooling in your rig? i assume you haven't overclocked it

i tried different drivers that did not help. i figure it was overheating. The card is kinda used. any other things i should try. my cooling is very basic

hmm not sure what you can do...wait till sharkfood reads your message..if he wants to help at all..this guy knows his sh*t! ..and if it is cuz its overheating...you should invest on some fans ...2 exhauts and intakes...maybe a 3rd party cooler for your card ..whats your power supply?

Yeah sometimes your computer / game will lock up if you Overheat or if you have crap cooling ( 0 fans xD ) I'll just do what Zazazoom said and wait for sharkfood, he helped me a few times with video troubles so he'll be able to help you no problem! =D
