GameStop to shutter 150 retail stores following disappointing holiday sales

If businesses would own instead of renting the real estate they wouldn't have to pay such outrageous rent, and could actually make a profit.

Last time I went into a gamestop, their selection was poor, they were far too pushy to purchase something used/sign up for a card/game informer/whatever, and felt of desperation.

they also stock so little. If a new game comes out, and you dont preorder, gamestop will say it will take weeks for new copies to come in, yet the wal mart across the street will have plenty of copies available.

Their management is incompetent, and how they have survived is beyond me.

I rarely buy $60 games, but I went in a couple weeks ago to buy Horizon Zero Dawn for my daughter. The guy was real creepy and came up to me asking to help me. He realized they were sold out, and tried to flip me to some other game that I never heard of. He even pulled up a video of it to show me. It was some anime art style open world game carrying huge swords on the backs. I didn't like it, but he got real pushy saying he "highly recommends it". I felt creeped out for a while afterwards, but went straight to walmart and grabbed their last copy. I hate the evil corporate walmart, but oh well.
