Gaming Lockup issues....

p4 2.4
1 gig ram
pny ti4400 128mb ver 45.xx driver
sb audigy plat
aopen ax4g pro mb

Everytime I start a game it locks up with-in 5 minutes. I have tried several things suggested here to fix this and I am running out of options and I am ready to toss it out the window.

nice specs , did you test your memory?flash the bios?what psu?what temps?

btw try the 43.03 drivers

Make sure it isn't getting too hot. Any components for that matter, but mainly your video card. Is everything identified correctly in your BIOS? Does this only happen when you play games? What games? What have you installed recently to make this happen, or has this ALWAYS happened?

It happens when I play any games:
UT2k3
U2
GTA:VC
Diablo2

you name it.

Sounds like memory or a heating issue to me. It may even extend as a possible hard disk or mother board problem.

You'll just need to eliminate the possibilities so you can narrow it down to what's causing this issue.

I would first check your temperatures, then proceed with a memory test www.memtest86.com
