Hi,
I was hoping somebody would know whether a GeForce2 MX is AGP4x or AGP8x.
I recently picked up a second-hand GeForce2 MX, and used it with my Duron800. Then, the other day, my A-Bit KT7 mobo died, so I'm in the market for a replacement, and want to use the (cough) best of the GF2.
Thanks.

any AGP card will work with an AGP 8x mobo, the only difference being that if the card is 4x your graphics will only max at 4x and you will be wasting a lot of potential on your mobo. The card is probably 4x if i recall correctly..

Yeah, I know about the capability vs. performance. Now that I know the card is 4x, I won't shop for a specifically 8x mobo.
Thanks.

umm, i doubt you will be able to find a mobo with just 4x. Get 8x that way in the future you can upgrade your graphics etc because your card will be unable to play many new games...
