GeForce 4 MX 440 - problems with EA Games

Well, I am having the same problems JaeSun posted in 12-02-2003. EA games have several lockups when a large amount of graphics is displayed... As JaeSun said, I used to play those EA games a couple of months ago with no problem at all. I have already installed 3 different versions of NVidia drivers combined with DirectX 8.1 and 9.0. I really don´t get any idea of what is happening... Anyone that can guess of a solution reply this post, please...

It sounds like your card is overheating.

Check your video card fan. Ensure that none of its fins have been broken, or that the fan has stopped entirely. Move any wires or peices of hardware that may get in the way of its airflow. Use some compressed air to dust off the fan and see if the card stops freezing.
