I got a geforce 4 ti 4200 to play eq2. Well when i put it in and rebooted, I got lines down my computer screen at my welcome screen. At the windows screen as well. After going in and downloading the updated drivers for this card at nvidia's website, After i did so, half way through the download I got a black screen with red dots. So I rebooted only to get a blinking screen. The screen went black and then back to normal. All of the graphics such as desktop wall paper and such looked normal. After uninstalling the drivers, it went to normal with no blinking screen. But it was delaying the scrolling on my explorer. Its kind like the pictures and words were rolling down on top of one another to refresh the page. I need help, my boyfriend and room mate who know a good bit about computers, are puzzled as well.
