GeForce 5200 AGP Dual Monitor Frustration

By Hunter67

  1. I have just installed a GeForce 5200 AGP card. Please bear with me as this problem is a little hard to describe or believe.
    I have 2 monitors Phillips 107E & 107E5
The card reciognises the 2 individual monitors but identifies them both as display 1, I have Dual Display set as the mouse is capable of dissapearing off the edge as if there is a second display but both monitors display identical images.

what exactly is the problem? i have the 5200 also. if the mouse slips off the screen, try reducing refresh rate and resolution.

I do believe you can chose different settings in the Forcdeware drivers. You can either have the same image duplicated on each screen (what you have right now), have an extended desktop on both screen (with the taskbar streched on both screens) or two semi-independant displays (the task bar is then on only one screen). Have a look in the nVidia display options, I do believe there's a whole area dedicated to multiple-display settings.
