GeForce 6800gt AGP 8X 256MB Problem - High pitch noise

when i boot up my system all i hears is a high pitch noise coming from my pc... my monitor says its getting a signal but still doesnt display anything.

if it helps im replaceing a gforce 5200

possibly a bad batch, but i dont know .

Do you have the 4 pin connector connected to the card? I know that if you don't it will scream like the dickens.

Thats exactly whats happening. Thats an alarm to let you know..
You need to give the card a molex power plug, same used on your ide hdd's.

ya it doesnt say it in the manual(cheap nvidia bastards use one manual for all of there types of video card, i mean how muck does it really cost to......)but you need to plug in the four prong power cord.
