  1. I purchased a brand new ASRock K7S8XE mother board, on which I am running a new Athlon XP 2000+ cpu, 256mb ddr ram, with a GeForce4 MX 440 64mb APG Video Card.

It will allow me to install Windows 98 without a problem and runs great with that OS, but will not allow me to install Windows 2000 or Windows XP Pro. I get a blue screen with a error message, and it will not go any further than that on the install on these OS.

Please advise me on how to resolve this problem. Please do not refer me back to the retailer I purchased these products from, that route has availed me no assistance at all.

    Thanking you in Advance,

Seem hardware prob, check for defective hardware, i hav this blue screen error when installed win xp, and my cpu get too hot so win xp refuse to installed. but win98se works fine.
Also check your HDD if there is a chance bad sector present. Btw, please supply error msg you got, try pressing pause could do the trick.
