Generals.dat?

I was looking around my C:/ drive recently and I noticed something that wasn't there last time I opened my C:/ drive, it's called Generals.dat and all the google searches I looked up didn't really give information about what it was, Does anyone know what it is?

It belongs to the CC Generals game and is needed.

The chances are the Generals.dat file will belong to one of your games.

However, if you`re suspicious then zip the file up and delete the original file. Then, if you notice any problems, you can always restore the file from the zip backup.
