Gigabyte 790FX DS5 bios question

Hey all,

I've got a Gigabyte 790FX DS5 mobo and I was tweaking some stuff in the bios when I noticed an unusual option. The option is called Xpress Route. It's disabled right now and it's discription is that it improves video card performance when enabled. I searched all through my mobo manual and I can't find anything about this option. I've googled it and found nothing.
I just hesitant to turn it on because it's disabled default for a reason right? Does it cause instabilty when enabled?
Anyone have any info on this Xpress Route option?

specs: Crossfire 3870, Phenom 9600 2.3ghz, 790FX, 2gb(1066) ram......yeah it's a Spider platform.

Xpress Route enable to improve the performance up to 25% (on PCI-Express port)

But may cause overheating damage

Try at your risk

edit:
I bet tomshardware !

So, it's like overclocking the video cards automatically? 25% performance increase seems like a lot, but I don't know if I want to risk it.
You bet tomshardware? Yes, I did post on toms, but nobody replied so I decided to post here.

Put it this way, that's the only info I could find !

So, no wonder you and Tom haven't been successfull.

As for any more detail - don't know.

I suugest you contact (via email) the video manufacturer.
And then reply post here with everything you've learnt
