Can the drive really affect gaming???
I have always just bought the cheapest Super Multi 16x I could find.

I wouldn't get an ultra-fast drive if u wanna keep the DVD in for games. I personally just use a no-cd/dvd crack. Much easier to do than keep the CD/DVD in at all times. That being said, a good-quality burner would be the BenQ one mentioned by RealBlackStuff as well as the Sony DRU-830A. I have the latter and it's very fast and burns everything quite reliably. Never had it fail. (I got it for 160 Dhs. here which is around $42 American, I think). Or get an LG drive, if u want a budget DVD writer.
