Absolutely fed up with all the spam emails!!

I have my Excite email loaded up with 200 blocks and
a whole bunch of "rules" but the crap still keeps coming.

XP Pro sp2, Firefox latest version.

Been searching for effective spam blockers, but to
read all the hits that come up, every one is the "best" one!

I'm sure folks here know what's effective and not.

Thanks a ton!

I'd just seen that one, but like I said, unless you have experience with
them directly it's hard to know what / who to believe!

Have you had personal experience, or have direct knowledge, of the
truth of this link?

Thanks!

Sorry no

I appreciate that you are looking for users experience in this, so I hope that others will reply, with their results.

I use an Internet Security package (Kaspersky) that already comes with this type of filtering. Which works well.

I suppose that is one reply !

Personally I use Mozilla Thunder Bird as my email client reader and it works very well.

You teach it what is Junk and it marks it so you know that. Better still, you
can make rules for the specific email that then can react to the information seen, eg:
Subjects containing offensive words (subject contains: xxx or yyy ...)
Source names ( From is: user @ somedomain.com)
Source domains ( From contains: @somedomain.com )
and then an action to perform on it eg: delete, mark as junk, move to folder zzz
