Google: Android acquisition was "best deal ever"

They are much better than windows or symbian and apple's OS is only for apple products. It's pretty much the only way to go for smartphones.

IMO webOS is better than android or iOS.

In 2010, Google Energy made its first investment in a renewable-energy project, putting up $38.8 million into two wind farms in North Dakota. The company announced the two locations will generate 169.5 megawatts of power, or enough to supply 55,000 homes.Google going green nice.
One more thing each Google search generates about 0.2g of CO2 according to Google & 7g of CO2 according to other experts hope they can cut that too.

I wonder what happened to the people that originally developed android.
The article said that the co-founder is still the VP of engineering for Google. That's pretty impressive to be bought out and continue working for a major corporation.

Is still doing pretty well? It's evolving to better and better all the time so saying something like that just shows your ignorance in the tech world.

I can see how people like webOS since it seems very user friendly and easy to use but that's _exactly_ what I absolutely detest in OSses. For me an OS can be easy to use but cutting the possible learning curve _there_ is not my liking - not a way in _hell_.

That's the reason I _love_ Android. There's so much more to be done with it even after you've learned the basics. I respect the fact that Palm is based on linux but not that it's got the same ideology as e.g. Ubuntu or Gnome (some people, I hope, know what I mean with this).

So I'm not saying Palm sucks. I'm just saying for _me_ it sucks.
