Google links redirect, Vista won't shut down

Working on my wife's laptop (Acer Aspire 5100 w/ Vista), used for her general computing and Facebook, and for my younger son's games (PC based, WIzard101, Pirates of the Caribbean, FreeRealms). About a week ago it began redirecting Google links, particularly those to support sites, to various links--shopping, rogue search, etc. Used TaskManager to avoid clicking anything on screen. 3 days ago, couldn't access TaskManager and if I tried, the computer wouldn't shut down, only restart. Removing the battery was the only way to unfreeze the computer.

Followed the 8 step guide:
Step 1--Norton AV returned nothing, AdAware didn't even return an MRU that it ALWAYS returns, when I finally got it to scan

Steps 2/3--No problems

Step 4--Ran program, but twice (after finding 3 problems each time) it froze at exactly the same place:

Ran again, aborted after the 3 problems found--fixed them, ran again, it flew through fine

Steps 5-7 Fine

I am attaching the logs, per step 8, to see what else needs done. There are 2 Malwarebytes logs, from the aborted scan and the completed one.

Update

After 2 days of no replies, gave Google a flying shot--it is still redirecting, but Vista is shutting down correctly.

I ran through the 8-step again and also followed Bobbye's advise to another thread about ComboFix, which found some crap.

Attached are the latest MalWareBytes, SuperAntiSpyware, and ComboFix logs. Pasted is the latest HJT log.
