Hi there,
Like many others on here I'm having trouble when I click on any results that Google brings up on my Firefox or Chrome browsers. If I click on any of them, I'm redirected to a spam site. It's been happening more and more in the past few days. I've searched around online and looked for advice, but nothing has worked so far. I've downloaded AviraAntivirus and run a scan. A pop up came up saying a file was infected but before I could click 'Remove' the pop up disappeared and I don't know where I can find it again. I've also run a Malwarebytes full scan which said that nothing was infected.

I haven't done anything else as I'm not really sure I know what I'm doing and I don't want to cause anymore damage. I can work my way around a computer but am certainly not an expert. I use Windows 7.
If anyone could help I will be very grateful.

Hi there,
I did the GMER scan. At the end I clicked save and saved the log to the desktop but when I opened it there was nothing there. On the little side bar there are two check boxes....one for drive c and one for drive d. Only the c drive was checked when I opened it so I left it at that and did the scan. I do have a lot of stuff saved on the d-drive though. Can you advise?

Please go on to the other steps. I'll have you run a program later that will show some of what GMER outputs.

Thank you. Will have to do it on Friday when I'm next free. Will I have to repeat all the steps again if I'm using the computer in the meantime? Thank you for helping.
