Hi, over the weekend, my computer suddenly restarted after a webpage popped out at me. I was in the middle of typing up a document and was worried it didn't save, so when I restarted my computer, I tried to open that immediately, but it took like 10 minutes to open. Task manager wouldn't open at all. I went into Safe mode, rolled back my system to around 2 weeks ago, and did a scan with McAfee, which caught a lot of things.
I am still having problems with being redirected when I do a Google search. After doing a Google search, the results show up fine, but when I click on the search results directly, I get redirected to very random sites. The actual links are there (as in, I can right click and copy the link to the real sites). I was using Firefox 3.5.8. The same thing happens for IE.
Sometimes, the bar at the bottom of my screen with the Start button flashes and changes into this weird, boxy white that looks very retro. I'm not sure if this is because of the same problem as what's happening with Google searches.
Also, sometimes random sites pop up out of the blue when I'm not doing anything. Like just now as I was typing this.
I followed the 8 steps from this forum (I ran Malwarebytes quite a few times these past few days before coming to this forum). I'm attaching three logs for Malwarebytes from the first time I used it to the latest time from following the 8 steps.
This Super Anti Spyware Scan log is from when I did a quick scan. I also did another complete scan right after if you need that log.
