Google search misdirected, 8 steps completed, advice please

I am having the same problem that has been discussed in this forum where google search results are misdirected. I have followed the 8 steps and I am still getting re-routed when I use either Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox. In the process of following the 8 steps, I removed a number of trojans and tracked cookies (?), none of which seem to be the root problem. any advice that you have would be greatly appreciated!

ESET didn't find anything

I looked up the IP address that you mentioned, and on some other HijackThis forums mentioned that this is the alternate DNS server address for Comodo Secure DNS, which we are running. Also, I ran ESET twice and it didn't find anything. We are still being misdirected on google searches, is there anything else we can try?
