    dear real black stuff,
i hijacked a program from the HJT.log.. since then, my HD space stopped reducing.. but my Documents n Settings folder uses 3.59GB when the actual space is 459MB.. the files using the remaining space are not to be seen.. and in my Loacal Settings folder there r some ~DFC***.tmp files which on deleting gives "cannot delete, running by another user.." is there ny way of getting to delete these files and those unseen files...

    Boot in Safe Mode

In Windows Explorer, turn on "show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how here.

Delete ALL files and folders from:
    C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Local Settings\Temp
    Repeat this for ALL users!

In Internet Explorer, click on Tools/Internet Options and
empty your Temporary Internet Files, all Offline content and delete Cookies.
In Firefox, click on Tools/Options and Clear Cache and Clear Cookies.

Delete all files and directories from: C:\WINDOWS\Temp (except files dated from TODAY).
