GPU's and micro stutter

That's what I was thinking :D

No offence but if you think console games are buttery smooth then there's no way you'll notice microstuttering especially on an SLI setup.

Haha, okay, buttery smooth probably wasn't the best way to describe my console experience. I guess frame rate drops during intense scenes didn't bother me too too much (though I definitely like to not have them) cause it was almost expected in some games due to the hardware. I guess now that I have put so much into a gaming pc I expect a smooth experience. Microstutter is a little different though from fps drops from what I understand (unless I'm wrong, which is possible, lol). I just hate seeing those quick jagges movements of other characters onscreen during a campaign or something.

Actually sort of on that topic. Is there a difference between you whole screen microsuttering and say just a specific character on screen stuttering? For example, in BF3 during certain scripted parts of the game their will be a specific character's movement that is jagged and doesn't run smooth but everything else on screen is okay.

That's probably due to lag if its online multiplayer (From the person who is that character).
