Grafix Card Stopped DVD Drive working

Just installed a Geforce A6800 XT 128mb, it seems to work but my dvd/cd drive no longer works - it opens but does not seem to scan for disks.

Any advice please???

you probably knocked the IDE cable loose when you installed the card. check the ribbon cable going from your motherboard to the dvd drive and see that both ends are completely plugged into thier respective sockets.
