Good day all!
I am trying to play a game on my laptop but when I click on the icon a message appears:
Your graphics card does not support shades necessary to play the game

I have an Acer Aspire 1642WLMI
have tried updating the chipset but no luck
Intel 915GM/910GML Chipset family
Anyone have ANY ideas???

its telling you that your graphics card doesnt have a good enough pixel shader

I know for next time but what can I do to play the game....
is buying a new graphics card my only option

if you wanted to play that game and many more then yes replacing the graphics card is the only optioon

sugar, I forgot to ask- obviously the space available and other factors will come into play but what kind of graphics card should I upgrade to...
I think the current graphics card is the standard with the laptop.
Cheers

You can play most games with ease but you'll won't be able to max out lots of settings, maybe not even max out any with that card.
