Greatings From Maine

  1. I have Dell GX620 which I purchased on-line. I like the machine and bought a second hard drive to use on it. The hardware includes two SATA ports plus a standard IDE and a third port for the 3.5 floppy. I was hoping that I could modify the cmos to accommodate the second SATA hard drive. The only thing I find in the cmos is that there is one SATA port and one PATA port active.

When I connected the second drive to the second SATA port, nothing happened and the cmos failed to recognize the device. Will I have to flash the bios with a newer update (if there is one available) or what?

Also, if anyone has a site that I can download the information on the mother board, it would be appreciated.

    Thanks
