  1. Hello everyone!
    What a fantastic help site.
I am a community volunteer for my elderly neighbors of 10 years plus.
I spend many an hour trouble shooting their computers. I relie heavily
on sites like this with expert unmisleading trouble shooting. I do allot
of wading through misguided information for the home pc enthusiast.
This is my first time to post to a forum and I hope I am doing it in the correct place.
What brought me to join is reading your 8 steps forums. I think it is my correct
solution to my son's vaio. I look forward to posting the reports over in that forum.
Right now just want to say thank you ever so much for all of you who guide me to solving some problems over my head. I am an owner of 4 hp laptops, vaio desktop, an Imac, a vaio laptop, and an old Apple, all still running. I have been
an avid player of Sony's Everquest for 8 years, never having played any pc game
other than yahoo games many years ago. I must say my informal education of problem solving pc's is quite extent for more than15 years. So when I read your 8 step program, it really excited me! The techspot will be my first search to start problem solving. Thanks again for your awesome sight!

Problem PC is a Sony Vaio ModelPCG 7Y2L
    Processor Intel(R)Core(TM) Dup CPU T2450@2.00GHz 2.00 GHz
    1GB (RAM) (needs more)
    32-bit OS
    120 GB HD
Problem is this pc is running slower than a turtle with no legs!
Will post logs later in 8 step forum.

    Hi bkg929

    Welcome to [IMG] :grinthumb

You can read how to post a new thread in this Guide.

Before posting you should read all the Posting Guidelines.

To access technical support you may go to the Forums.

Many users like to post system specs in their Profile.

System Specs are always helpful when you seek support, (see the first two suggestions).
And helpers may ask that you post some of your specs in your thread.

You can access many other online TechSpot guides Here.

    Enjoy your Stay :)
