    I'm glad I found this site. I'm here because I am "ate up" with malware/rootkit problems.

    I thought I had cleared out some malware/rootkit type mess, but now I can't use Windows Update, and I get the error code 80096001.

    I have been running ComboFix for an hour now, so hopefully it will do the job.

    If not, I will post my problem in the appropriate forum.
